Make Your Own Sparkl Axolotl kit! That's right ladies and gentlemen, we've got your step-by-step instructions on how to make your very own sparkly Axolotl.
Included in the kit are the instructions, and enough polymer clay/materials to make 2 Sparkl Axolotls! This allows you to make one for practice and one for real, or you and a friend (or two kids) can make one each. And once you realize how much fun you're having you can pop out to the art store, pick up some more polymer clay, and do it all again!
We've tested these kits out on kids as young as 5, and they were able to do it with a little parental help. The 8 and 9 year olds were amazing at it, and a great time was had by all.
There are 9 steps in total, plus they have to be cooked at the end. Just 15 mins at 275 degrees in a regular old oven, or even a toaster oven will do. And that's it. Your little Sparkl Axolotl will be about as big as a medium sized egg and will sparkle all day and all night, as long as there is some light shining on them that is. They don't really sparkle in the dark. The sparkly effect requires some light to shine upon them!
